Design Team-

Chuck Koshi

"What I love about this business is that each project is different, bringing new rewarding and interesting challenges. Each Clients' personality, life experiences and project goals are different, and it is up to us to synthesize all of this and develop designs for our clients that creatively meet all of their needs."

Architect, Chuck Koshi, AIA, is a licensed architect in the State of Colorado and has extensive experience in the full range of architectural services from development of project program requirements and site analysis thru construction administration services during construction.  His "Zen-like" charisma is a wonderful ingredient for all projects.

"I believe very strongly in an "integrated design" approach and the need for positive, effective and constant communication between all parties involved in each project."

"As a result of my long, business partnership with Carolyn and our involvement in all aspects of interior design, I have also developed a real passion for the detailing of custom residential interiors, with a particular interest in interior finishes, interior lighting and custom designed furniture.  These are exciting opportunities to incorporate custom finishing touches that complete the overall architectural design goal and aesthetic."

Chuck received his Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Design degree from the University of Washington in 1974 and his Master of Architecture degree from the University of Colorado in 1977. He currently is a member of the American Institute of Architects and the Boulder Green Building Guild.

Carolyn Baker

Interior Designer, Carolyn Baker, has a wonderful way of connecting with KBDA’s clients.  She is an excellent listener and communicator.  Her great memory and ability to interpret clients thoughts and ideas makes for distinctive and beautiful designs.  By not over looking even small details, very personal and custom designs emerge, transforming a house into a home.

"After 30 years I still love what I do and cherish the relationships formed through KBDA."

Carolyn graduated with a BA in History and Political Science from Smith College in Northhampton, MA.  She brings a diverse background to the design firm having lived in many cities across the United States.  However, it was while she lived in England she fostered her love of antiques.

Prior to becoming an interior designer, Carolyn was a partner and buyer for retail stores in Denver and the mountains of Colorado that specialized in unique home accessories.  This experience combined with her worldly travels, has given her a wonderful ability to balance classic antiques with modern day furnishings in an elegant way.
